Route 66

Bob, Karon and Holland follow the Mother Road from Chicago to Los Angeles, detouring to Las Vegas and finishing the trip in San Francisco.

Plenty of planning went into this trip. Flights were booked – in to Chicago and out from San Francisco, a hire car, accommodation along the way and tickets/bookings for some of the attractions. It was a pretty full itinerary but we still had time to explore.

In Albuquerque we found the hotel, dumped our stuff then headed for the cable car up to Sandai Peak. Scale is difficult to perceive. The greenery you see are full grown trees, not small shrubs.
