St.Andrews Jan 2006

Drove up to St.Andrews, mid January to collect Hannah. She'd finished some exams and had a three week slot before courses started up again. Karon and I both went and decided to stay a couple of nights. Most of the hotels seem to offer weekday price reductions so we decided to stay in one that would normally be out of our price range. An added bonus – when we turned up, they had upgraded us to a suite.

Hannah joined us for dinner in the hotel on our first night for a superb but expensive meal. The following day we went for a walk along the windswept beach before heading into town for a coffee. The 'girls' had chilli drinking chocolates to help shrug off the effects of the cold wind while I settled for a more conventional one.

We spent the afternoon by the window in the bar at the hotel drawing the clubhouse...very relaxing. That evening Hannah took us to her local where we were joined by one of her friends, Chris. Whiled away the evining playing poker. Next day we picked Hannah up from her hall and headed home.
