In 2012 I made a brief appearance on the Alan Titchmarsh Show and one of the other guests was Jacqui Shannon, co-organiser of the Tweed Run. What Jacqui described sounded great fun so I made a mental note to keep an eye open for the 2013 run details. We were lucky as the run is oversubscribed, so there’s a lottery for places. We took the Beast up on the Friday evening and stayed overnight in the Royal National Hotel so we could get to the start, nearby, in plenty of time.
