In the background, the way we had come, across the ridge and skirting down the edge of the woods on the slopes to the right of center. Then we'd headed down the valley from right to left then up the little (and steep) lane at the right of picture. Being Sunday morning, coffee was in non-existent supply, so we said goodbye to Paul's friends and headed out of Holmbridge to climb up to Wessenden Head.
