The drop off the moor was a fast affair down a narrow tarmac lane, with the odd bend to catch you out, it was enough to cause Martyn's brakes to overheat and lock up on the descent – giving the rest of us a brief break at the bottom while he waited for his brakes to cool down and we waited for him to get going again.
