bright and breezy morning greeted us as we met up at Rooksdown on
the western fringes
of Basingstoke. Our off-road rides have been down in numbers for
a while, so it was pleasing to have a new face turn up. Kate, from
Petersfield way, has only been riding for a year and was worried
about holding us up, but we were more than happy to taylor the ride
to
suit her abilities. |

Andrew,
Richard and self made four. Our ride took us west along the ridge
as far as Ladle Hill where we dropped off the top and out of the
now strong headwind to the lanes below. A brief pause in Kingsclere
and we continued back to Rooksdown along quiet lanes.
A tired but triumphant
Kate was glad to get back to her car after her longest ride by
far. |
